Who We Are

D8 is a relationship platform built and operated by D8 Software, LLC, a Missouri limited liability company. We connect people through our Singles, Friends, and ENM communities. What makes D8 different is that we take those communities — and the people in them — seriously.

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the D8 platform. By creating an account, you're agreeing to them. Please read them. They're written to be understood, not just agreed to.

Eligibility

To use D8, you must:

Be at least 18 years of age
Be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement
Not have been previously banned from D8 for a violation of these Terms
Not have been convicted of a felony, sex crime, or any crime involving violence or a threat of violence
Not be required to register as a sex offender with any state, federal, or local registry

If you do not meet these requirements, you may not use D8. If we determine at any time that a user does not meet these eligibility requirements, their account will be permanently removed and their data handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We take this seriously and do not make exceptions.

Your Account

You are responsible for your account. That means keeping your credentials secure, not sharing access with anyone else, and making sure that everything you do under your account complies with these Terms.

Be Who You Say You Are

D8 works because people show up honestly. Your profile should reflect who you actually are — your photos should be current and genuinely of you, and the information you provide should be accurate.

The following are prohibited:

Impersonating another person, real or fictional
Using photos that are not of you, including photos of other people, stock images, or images generated by AI
Misrepresenting your identity, relationship status, intentions, or any other material information
Creating multiple accounts to evade a suspension or ban
Including external contact information on your public profile — Snapchat handles, Telegram usernames, Instagram accounts, email addresses, phone numbers, websites, or any other off-platform identifiers do not belong on your D8 profile

We use both automated systems and user reports to identify misrepresentation. If we find it, we'll act on it.

By posting content on D8 — including photos, profile information, and any other material — you grant D8 Software a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating the platform. You remain the owner of your content. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account.

What You See Here Stays Here

This is one of the most important things we ask of you.

D8 is a private community. The people you encounter here — their profiles, their photos, their presence on the platform — are not yours to share. Disclosing information about another D8 user outside of the platform, in any form, is a serious violation of the trust this community depends on.

This includes:

Sharing screenshots of profiles or conversations
Identifying or naming D8 users to people outside the platform
Posting or distributing any information about another user on social media, messaging apps, or anywhere else

Violations of this policy will result in a permanent ban. In cases involving deliberate, harmful disclosure of another user's information, D8 Software may pursue legal action.

D8 is designed with this principle built in. There is no "share this profile" feature on the platform — that's intentional. These Terms reinforce what the platform itself was built to protect.

Content Standards

D8 is a community platform, and what gets posted here affects everyone in it. The following content is prohibited anywhere on D8:

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind. This results in an immediate, permanent ban and mandatory reporting to law enforcement. There is no discretion here and no appeal. See our mandatory reporting commitment below.
Any sexualized content involving minors
Content designed to facilitate harm to a real person, including doxxing, threats, or targeted harassment
Hate speech, slurs, or content that demeans people based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics
Glorification or promotion of violence
Content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others
Spam or unsolicited commercial content
Soliciting, advertising, or facilitating paid sexual or companionship services of any kind, including but not limited to escorting, prostitution, or the promotion of adult content subscription platforms
Nudity and sexually explicit content in public-facing areas of D8, including profile photos, profile bios, and any other information visible to other users before a connection is established

Good Faith Participation

D8 is for people who are here to connect. The following are not what D8 is for and are not permitted:

Surveillance — using the platform to gather information about who is here without any genuine interest in connecting
Recruiting — using D8 to funnel people into external communities, events, platforms, or services as your primary purpose
Circumvention — using private chat or any other means to route activity off-platform in order to evade D8’s detection systems or Terms. Private conversations are your own business; using them to arrange conduct that would otherwise violate these Terms is not.

Fraudulent and Harmful Behavior

D8 has no tolerance for predatory behavior. The following are prohibited:

Scamming — soliciting money, gifts, financial information, or anything of value from other users under false pretenses
Phishing — attempting to obtain another user's personal information through deception
Catfishing — using a false identity to form relationships under false pretenses
Harassment — repeated unwanted contact, threats, intimidation, or targeted abuse of any user
Coordinated manipulation — using D8 in concert with others to deceive, manipulate, or harm users
Implied endorsement — representing or implying that D8 Software endorses you, your profile, or any statements you make
Vulnerability probing — probing, scanning, or testing the security of the platform or any of its systems or networks
Scraping or data harvesting — using automated tools, bots, scripts, or any other means to extract, copy, or replicate profiles, data, or any other content from D8 without express written permission
Malicious code — uploading or transmitting viruses, spyware, adware, or any other code designed to damage, interfere with, or compromise the platform or its users
Automated or AI-generated accounts — creating or operating accounts or profiles using bots, scripts, AI-generated personas, or any automated means. Every D8 account must represent a real individual. Automation has no place in how profiles are created or operated on this platform.
False reports — submitting reports, complaints, or abuse notifications that you know to be false or that are intended to harm another user rather than address a genuine concern

These behaviors harm real people and the integrity of the platform. We treat them accordingly.

Enforcement

D8 Software monitors the platform through a combination of automated detection and user-submitted reports. When potential violations are identified, we act.

Depending on the nature and severity of the situation, enforcement actions may include:

Mandatory verification — certain behaviors will trigger a required identity or liveness verification before access is restored. Complete it and continue. Decline and your access remains suspended.
Temporary suspension — pending review of a reported or detected violation
Permanent ban — for serious or repeated violations, or at D8 Software's sole discretion

Cooperation is required. Refusal to cooperate with a D8 investigation or to complete a required verification is itself a violation of these Terms and will result in immediate permanent suspension. Non-response is not a resolution strategy. D8 Software will not close an open investigation simply because a user fails to engage with it.

Conduct outside D8 matters. If D8 Software becomes aware of harmful conduct between users that occurred off the platform — including on dates, meetups, or through other messaging services — we reserve the right to act on that information as though the conduct occurred on D8. Membership in the D8 community carries expectations of conduct that do not end when you close the app.

Criminal history. D8 Software reserves the right to investigate credible reports of criminal conduct involving any member. Where we have reasonable basis to believe a member has been convicted of a serious offense — including but not limited to sexual assault, human trafficking, stalking, kidnapping, child abuse, domestic abuse, or violent crimes — we may permanently remove that member from the platform. This is a right we reserve, not a guarantee of investigation in every case. D8 Software does not warrant that all members have been screened or that the platform is free of individuals with criminal histories.

Enforcement decisions are made at the sole discretion of D8 Software. We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any account at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or that we determine to be harmful to the community, without being obligated to disclose our specific reasoning.

In cases involving illegal conduct — including but not limited to CSAM, fraud, and threats — D8 Software may refer matters to law enforcement and cooperate fully in any resulting investigation or prosecution.

Mandatory Reporting

D8 Software is committed to full cooperation with law enforcement in all matters involving illegal activity, particularly those involving the safety of minors. Where required by law — and in serious cases even where not strictly required — we will report illegal content and activity to the appropriate authorities and provide information in response to lawful requests.

Users should be aware that D8 Software may access, preserve, and disclose account information — including content — when required to do so by law or when we reasonably believe it is necessary to: comply with legal process; enforce these Terms; respond to claims of intellectual property infringement; respond to requests related to account security; or protect the rights, property, or safety of D8 Software, our users, or the public. This may occur without prior notice to you.

D8 Is a Platform, Not a Guarantor

D8 provides technology that connects people. We cannot verify everything users tell us, control how users behave, or guarantee any particular outcome from using the platform.

D8 Software's liability is limited. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, D8 Software is not responsible for:

The conduct of any user on or off the platform
The accuracy of any user-provided information
Any content posted, shared, or transmitted by users on the platform. The presence of user content on D8 does not constitute endorsement by D8 Software. Users are solely responsible for the content they contribute.
Any harm arising from interactions between users
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of D8

This limitation does not apply to D8 Software's own gross negligence or willful misconduct.

The platform is provided as-is. D8 Software makes no warranty that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do our best, but we cannot guarantee it.

You indemnify D8 Software. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless D8 Software and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your use of the platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

You use D8 at your own risk, and you take responsibility for your own interactions. Use good judgment. Trust your instincts.

Resolving Disputes

We'd rather resolve problems directly than through lawyers. If you have a dispute with D8 Software, here's how it works:

Step 1 — Talk to us. Contact us at info@d8software.io and give us 30 days to try to resolve the issue informally.

Step 2 — Arbitration. If informal resolution doesn't work, disputes will be resolved through binding individual arbitration rather than in court. This means you agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Step 3 — Litigation. If a matter proceeds to litigation — whether because arbitration is not applicable or is otherwise waived — it will be conducted in the courts of the State of Missouri, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri.

Subscriptions and Billing

D8 offers subscription-based access to premium features. By subscribing, you authorize D8 Software to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the rate and frequency disclosed at the time of purchase.

Renewals — subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
Cancellation — you may cancel at any time through your account settings or the app store through which you subscribed; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
Refunds — subscription fees are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law

D8 Software reserves the right to change subscription pricing with advance notice. Continued use of a subscription after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Chargebacks and payment reversals. D8 Software reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts associated with disputed or reversed payments. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at info@d8software.io before initiating a dispute with your payment provider.

Feedback and suggestions. If you submit feedback, ideas, or suggestions about D8, you agree that D8 Software may use them for any purpose without obligation or compensation to you.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll let you know — through the app or by email — before the changes take effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most current version.

Your continued use of D8 after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
