Community Guidelines

D8 exists to help real people build real relationships — whether that's a romantic partner, a close friend, or an ethical non-monogamous connection. Every person on this platform deserves to feel safe, respected, and welcome.

These standards apply to everyone, across all spheres, at all times.

Be Authentic

Be who you actually are. Use real photos, honest information, and genuine intentions. Misrepresenting yourself — your age, appearance, relationship status, or intentions — undermines the trust that makes meaningful connections possible.

Be Respectful

You will encounter people with different backgrounds, values, lifestyles, and relationship structures. Treat everyone with basic human dignity. Disagreement is fine. Contempt is not.

This means: - No harassment, threats, or intimidation - No hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other characteristic - No unsolicited sexual messages or images - No bullying or deliberate attempts to humiliate others

Consent is the foundation of every healthy connection — romantic, sexual, or otherwise. On D8, that means:

  • Never send unsolicited sexual content, explicit images, or graphic messages
  • Respect it when someone says no, stops responding, or asks you to stop — silence is not an invitation to keep trying
  • Do not pressure, guilt, or manipulate someone into something they haven't enthusiastically agreed to
  • What someone shares with you consensually stays between you — do not redistribute images, messages, or other profile information under any circumstances

Consent can be withdrawn at any time. A yes yesterday is not a yes today.

Protect Privacy

What someone shares with you in conversation is shared in trust. Do not screenshot, share, or distribute private messages, photos, or personal information without explicit consent. Exposing someone's identity, location, or personal details without their permission is a serious violation.

Keep It on D8

D8 is where your connections start. Pressuring someone to move off the platform before they're comfortable — especially early in a conversation — is a red flag we take seriously. If someone asks you to communicate exclusively through another channel before you've established trust, be cautious.

No Scamming or Exploitation

D8 has zero tolerance for anyone using the platform to deceive, manipulate, or exploit others — financially or otherwise. This includes romance scams, fake profiles, and any attempt to solicit money or personal financial information from other members.

No Platform Manipulation

D8's matching and discovery features depend on authentic participation. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Creating fake or duplicate accounts
  • Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with other members
  • Coordinated activity designed to game matching, boost visibility, or manipulate other members' experience
  • Selling, transferring, or purchasing D8 accounts

Follow the Law

D8 may not be used for any illegal purpose or to facilitate illegal activity of any kind.

Violations and Enforcement

If something doesn't feel right, please report it. Reporting is always anonymous and you will never face consequences for reporting in good faith.
