Reporting & Enforcement

D8 is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful community. This page explains how to report a member, how we review reports, and what happens when our Community Standards are violated.

Reporting a Member

If someone makes you uncomfortable, violates our Community Standards, or behaves in a way that feels wrong, you can report them directly from their profile or from within a conversation. Reporting and blocking happen together — when you report someone, they are blocked immediately and all contact between you ends.

All reports are completely anonymous. The member you report will never know you filed a report, and your identity is never shared as part of the review process.

How Reports Are Reviewed

We use a combination of automated systems and manual review to evaluate reports. Automated systems flag potential violations immediately. Reports are then reviewed by our moderation team, who assess the full context before any action is taken.

We may reach out with follow-up questions if we need more information to make a fair determination.

Enforcement

We take a graduated approach to enforcement based on the severity of the violation and the member's history on the platform.

Warning For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a warning and remove the offending content. The member remains on the platform but is on notice.

Temporary Suspension For more serious violations or repeated behavior, a member's account may be temporarily suspended. During a suspension the member cannot access the platform.

Permanent Removal Severe violations — including anything involving minors, criminal activity, credible threats, or repeated serious violations — result in permanent removal from the platform with no appeal.

What We Act On Proactively

We don't wait for reports to act. Our automated systems continuously monitor for certain categories of content and behavior — including content involving minors, known scam patterns, and prohibited contact information — and may take action before a report is filed.

Law Enforcement Cooperation

D8 will cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations related to member conduct where required by law or where we determine cooperation is in the interest of member safety. This includes providing account information, message history, and other relevant data in response to valid legal requests.

Appeals

If you believe your account was suspended or removed in error, you may appeal by contacting us at support@d8software.io. Include your registered email address and a brief description of your situation. We will review your appeal and respond as quickly as possible.

Accounts removed for severe violations — including anything involving minors — are not eligible for appeal.

Reporting in Good Faith

You will never face consequences for reporting someone in good faith. If we determine a report was filed maliciously or as a form of harassment, that itself may be treated as a violation of our Community Standards.
